 Roberto Bessi is an accomplished producer of American and European cinema and the cornerstone of our production. Fluent in English and Italian, Roberto bridges the gap between Hollywood and Rome, bringing expertise and industry connections to the Projects. Having worked closely with Lee Rudnicki on Wonderwell in Rome (2016-17), Roberto has been part of this Venture’s vision since its inception. A former CEO of Empire Studios, Roberto’s career spans over 25 acclaimed films. His recent credits include Wonderwell (2019), Art of Diversity (2022), and Ride Back to Freedom (2020). Beyond producing, Roberto shapes the industry as a driving force at Rome’s State Film School (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia) and as a professor of film business at Tor Vergata University in Rome and the European School of Economics in London.  

Sharunya Galickaite-Varriale is a film professional with a career spanning Hollywood studios. A graduate of NYU in Mass Media and Communication, Sharunya began her career at Miramax, Weinstein, and MGM, specializing in theatrical distribution. In 2007, Sharunya joined Disney, helping to develop blockbuster films such as Pirates of the Caribbean, Tron, Oz the Great and Powerful, The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, and Race to Witch Mountain. Inspired, Sharunya transitioned to independent filmmaking. Her first independent project, the animated short Sebastian, was selected by more than 50 film festivals worldwide. In 2018, Sharunya co-founded OneWorld Entertainment, an investment and production company focused on U.S. and European features and joined Roma Hollywood Cinema Club, LLC, in 2023.
